Having a rough day?
One of those days where everything breaks, fights back, or just never shows up?
I hate those days.
We all have them.
Sometimes we have them for years.

They suck.
They also suck the life out of us.
Maybe that’s the point.
Bad days are meant to diminish our light.
Giving up allows darkness to win.

But you have another option.
When the crappy days hit, lean into God’s promise.
Seek Jesus’ mercy to heal your wounds.
Cry out to the Spirit to light your path.

Rebuke the voices that tell you there’s no hope.
God is eternal.
Therefore hope is eternal.

Here’s a few words to fan the flames and rekindle your light.
Always be a light.
Especially in dark times.
Because that’s when others are most likely to be drawn to the Source.

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

1Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

Psalm 120:1
I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
